Alright, so I decided to jump into the Martian Core Quest thing in Monopoly Go today. Saw the event pop up and thought, okay, let’s see what this is all about.

The main deal seemed pretty straightforward: land on the corner squares of the board. You know the ones:
- GO
- Just Visiting / In Jail
- Free Parking
- Go To Jail
Every time my little token landed smack dab on one of these, I got points. Four points, usually. The game mentioned something about using the dice multiplier to get more points, which made sense.
My Brilliant Plan (or lack thereof)
So, my big strategy was basically trying to guess when I was about 6 to 9 squares away from a corner. That felt like the sweet spot for a potential two-dice roll. When I felt lucky, I’d crank up the multiplier. Big risk, big reward, right? Sometimes I’d jack it up to x50 or x100 if I had the dice and was feeling bold.
Honestly, it was hit or miss. More miss, probably. I’d roll, needing a 7, and get like a 3. Landed right in the middle of some properties. Or I’d overshoot it completely. Wasted a good chunk of dice doing that, classic Monopoly Go frustration.
Other times, pure luck. I’d just be rolling on x1, not paying much attention, and bam! Landed right on Free Parking. Four points. Then I’d land on GO, collect the cash, and get another four points. Those moments felt good.
How It Actually Went Down
I started playing, rolling the dice, watching my little ship or car or whatever token I was using move around. Paid some rent here and there, landed on Chance, got sent back a few spaces once which was annoying.
Hitting the corners was the main goal, though. Getting those four points felt like a small victory each time. Landing on ‘Go To Jail’ was funny because normally it sucks, but for this event? Points! Still had to pay to get out or wait, but hey, points are points.
I spent a good hour or so just doing this. Roll, move, hope for a corner. Increase multiplier, roll, groan when I miss, cheer when I hit. Managed to collect a decent amount of points towards the event rewards, chipping away at the milestones.

It wasn’t the most exciting event ever, mostly just rolling and aiming for specific spots. But it changed how I looked at the board for a bit. Instead of just trying to avoid rent or land on railroads, I was laser-focused on those four corner squares. Made a change from the usual gameplay loop. Burned through a lot of dice, though. Need to wait for more now.
