Alright choombas, listen up! I finally got around to messing with a proper regen build in Cyberpunk 2077 after the 2.0 update dropped. I gotta say, it’s way more interesting than just blasting everything with a smart weapon now.

So, first off, I started by respeccing everything at a Ripperdoc. You gotta do this clean, trust me. I dumped most of my points into Body and Tech Ability. Body’s key for obvious reasons – more health, more stamina, and the Adrenaline Rush perk is just too good to pass up for survivability. Tech Ability? That’s where the juicy cyberware stuff lives, and we need that for our regen to really shine.
Next, the cyberware. This is where things get expensive, but it’s worth every Eddie. I prioritized:
- Blood Pump: This is your panic button. When you get low, slam that button and watch your health shoot back up. Essential.
- Biomonitor: Heals you passively as long as you’re above a certain health threshold. Consistent healing is what we want.
- Adrenaline Converter: Converts adrenaline into health regen. Synergizes perfectly with the Adrenaline Rush perk I mentioned earlier.
- Wolverine: Flat health regen bonus. Just a nice little boost to keep you topped off.
- Optical Camo: Okay, not directly regen, but it lets you disengage and reset fights, which is basically passive healing in disguise. Plus, it’s just cool.
For perks, here’s the stuff I focused on:
- Body Tree: Adrenaline Rush (obviously), Painkiller (more health regen), and a few others to boost health and armor.
- Tech Ability Tree: All the cyberware capacity perks you can get. You need to be able to slot all this cool stuff. Also, grab some perks that boost your healing from consumables.
- Cool Tree: This is more optional, but I grabbed a few perks in the Ninjutsu tree to make stealth easier. As I said, avoiding damage is the best kind of healing.
Okay, so how does it play? Freaking amazing. I can basically just run into a group of enemies, soak up a ton of damage, and just keep going. The Blood Pump is there for emergencies, but most of the time, my health just slowly ticks back up. It’s like I’m Wolverine or something.
The biggest challenge was definitely balancing cyberware capacity. You gotta be smart about what you slot. I ended up ditching some offensive cyberware in favor of more defensive options, but honestly, with how tanky I am, I don’t really need the extra damage. I can just wear them down.
Overall, I’m super happy with this build. It’s a different way to play Cyberpunk, and it’s a ton of fun. If you’re tired of dying all the time, give a regen build a try. You might be surprised at how effective it is.
