Well, I reckon y’all must be wondering ‘bout why the MLB The Show ain’t comin’ to PC, huh? Seems like no matter how many folks ask, they still won’t put it on them computers. Ain’t that somethin’?
Now, if you ain’t familiar, MLB The Show is a real popular baseball game, and every year they come out with a new one. But here’s the thing, this game ain’t for PC folk, nope! It’s mainly for them fancy game consoles like PlayStation, Xbox, and even the Nintendo Switch. So if you were hopin’ to play it on your computer, sorry to say, it ain’t happenin’—not yet, at least.
Why don’t they put it on PC? Well, from what I gather, the folks who make the game reckon that the big money comes from the consoles. See, the game sells real good on them, and that’s where most of their profits come from. Them consoles got a lot of folks playin’, and that’s where they make their best deals and stuff. So, even though some folks been beggin’ for it on PC, it don’t seem like they’re listenin’ just yet.
And let me tell ya, the newest version, MLB The Show 24, don’t make no exception. It’s all ready for the Xbox One, Series X|S, and PlayStation 4 and 5. If you got yourself one of them consoles, you’re in luck! You can even play it on the Nintendo Switch, can you believe that? But if you were hopin’ to grab it off Steam or some such, forget it—nope, ain’t happenin’.
Why consoles? Well, it’s simple, really. The folks behind MLB The Show figure that people like playin’ with them consoles more than sittin’ at a computer. You got your fancy controllers and your big screens, and the whole thing just feels more natural, I suppose. Plus, they got a whole lot of extra features on them consoles, like them fancy battle royales and all them rewards and seasons and whatnot. Them PC folks just don’t seem to get the same kind of attention.
Now, if you got yourself an Xbox, you might be able to get a little something extra. I heard tell that if you’re signed up for Xbox Game Pass, you can play MLB The Show 24 for a low monthly price. That’s right—play a bunch of games, not just baseball, but a whole slew of ‘em, all for a price that won’t break the bank. It ain’t on the Game Pass for PlayStation, though, so if you ain’t got an Xbox, you might be outta luck.
And don’t get me started on Xbox Cloud Gaming! I hear you can play MLB The Show 24 on that fancy cloud, too. Now, I don’t know much ‘bout all that cloud business, but if it means playin’ from anywhere, that’s a pretty neat deal. You can swing for the fences and get them big moments all day long without even needin’ the console in front of you. Now, that’s some futuristic stuff right there.
What about the game itself? Well, it’s got all sorts of fun stuff to keep you busy. From them Programs and Packs to them Player Items, they got all sorts of ways to level up and enjoy the game. If you like a good ol’ competition, there’s Battle Royales and Ranked Seasons, too. It’s a real busy game with all sorts of ways to keep playin’ and earnin’ rewards. So, if you’re on one of them consoles, you’re in for a treat!
All in all, it’s a real shame that PC folk don’t get the chance to join in on the fun, but I reckon the folks at MLB The Show got their reasons. Maybe someday, they’ll come ‘round to that idea, but until then, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, if you got a console, you best grab your copy of MLB The Show 24 and start swingin’! Who knows? Maybe you’ll hit a home run!
