Okay, so this question popped into my head today – did Jason Kelce actually play for Andy Reid? You hear both names constantly, right? Reid with the Chiefs, Kelce with the Eagles forever. But did their paths cross like, coach-player cross?
My first thought went straight to Philly. I know Reid was the big boss there for ages. Like, a really long time. And Kelce? He’s Mr. Eagle, drafted by them, played his whole career there. Seemed plausible they were there together.
So, I started digging into my memory banks, trying to line up the years. When did Reid leave Philly? That felt like the key piece. I remembered the switch to the Chiefs wasn’t that long ago in the grand scheme, but long enough.

So, the answer is yes. Jason Kelce definitely played for Andy Reid. It wasn’t for his whole career, obviously, but for those first two years. 2011 and 2012. Kelce was a rookie learning the ropes, and Reid was his head coach.
It’s kinda wild to think about now, seeing Reid win Super Bowls with the Chiefs and Kelce becoming this Philly legend. Different teams, different eras almost. But yeah, for a couple of seasons, they were on the same sideline in Philadelphia. Just a bit of football history I had to straighten out for myself today.
