Alright, let’s talk about this baseball game, the Colorado Rockies and the San Diego Padres. I don’t know much about fancy stats, but I can tell you who’s been hittin’ the ball and who ain’t.
So, these Rockies fellas, they been playin’ the Padres for a good while now. Heard tell they won 162 games outta all them games they played, and scored a whole bunch of runs, like 1483 or somethin’. That’s a lot of runnin’, I tell ya. The Padres, they won 136, but they didn’t score quite so much, somethin’ like 1408. Still a lot though, more than my chickens laid eggs this year, that’s for sure.
Now, about them recent games, the Rockies and the Padres, they been goin’ at it pretty steady. Seems like they played 20 games lately, and the Rockies, they won half of ‘em, 10 games. Not too shabby, not too shabby at all. Folks say they played a whole bunch of times over the years, like more than 500 games. The Rockies, they won more, somethin’ like 275 wins. Them Padres got 253 wins. Sounds like a close fight to me.
I saw somethin’ ’bout a fella named Austin Gomber. He won a game for the Rockies back in August. And this other fella, Jeremiah Estrada, he lost that game. Happens to the best of ’em, I reckon. Then there’s this Jurickson Profar fella. He plays for the Padres and he’s been gettin’ on base a lot. They said his on-base percentage is .394. Don’t know what that means exactly, but sounds like he’s doin’ alright. And he got 116 hits. That’s a whole lotta hittin’!
- Rockies Wins Against Padres: 162 games (total)
- Padres Wins Against Rockies: 136 games (total)

- Padres Runs Scored: 1408 (total)
- Recent Rockies Record vs Padres: 10 wins out of 20 games

They said somethin’ ‘bout a game on August 16th and another one on August 18th. Don’t know who won them games, but they was playin’, that’s for sure. You can find all this stuff on somethin’ called CBS Sports or Flashscore. They got all the numbers and who won and who lost. Me? I just like watchin’ ’em hit the ball and run around. Reminds me of chasin’ chickens when they get out of the coop.
Heard tell these fellas have some big wins and big losses against each other. Don’t know the details, but sounds like they had some real barn burners. Kinda like that time the neighbor’s cow got loose and ran through my garden. That was a real barn burner, let me tell ya.
One time, the Padres scored a whole bunch of runs against some other team, the Nationals, way back in 2021. Most runs they ever scored in a game, they said. But we’re talkin’ about the Rockies and the Padres here, so that don’t matter too much. And somethin’ about the Dodgers winnin’ a game, but that’s a whole ‘nother story, not about our boys.
So, there ya have it. Rockies and Padres, hittin’ and runnin’. Sometimes the Rockies win, sometimes the Padres win. That’s baseball for ya. Just like life, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But as long as you keep swingin’, you got a chance. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed them chickens.
