Alright, alright, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Brock… Brock… Lesnar, that’s it. He’s a big fella, strong as an ox, I tell ya. First time I saw him on that wrestlin’ show, Monday Night Raw, it was somethin’ else.
This was way back in 2002, March 18th to be exact. He came in and just whooped up on everybody. Didn’t matter who they were, big guys, little guys, he just tossed ’em around like ragdolls. Never seen anythin’ like it.
Folks say he’s one of the best fighters in the whole wide world. And I reckon they ain’t wrong. He ain’t just a wrestler, you know. He done fought in them cage fightin’ things too, the UFC they call it. Won championships there too, I heard. Big ones, like he wins in that wrestlin’ place, the WWE.
He even went over to Japan and won championships over there. New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and some other place with a funny name, Inoki somethin’ or other. Sounds like a foreign car to me. But he won championships there too, so he must be somethin’ special.
- He’s strong.
- He’s mean.
- And he wins, a lot.
Now, he ain’t been around lately. Folks sayin’ he’s got some troubles, somethin’ to do with the law and that fella, Vince McMahon, who runs the wrestlin’ show. Don’t know the details, and frankly, I don’t care much neither. Just know he ain’t been on TV in over a year.
Last time I saw him, he was fightin’ this Cody fella, at a big show called SummerSlam. That was a rough one, I tell ya. They beat each other up somethin’ fierce. But after that, poof, he was gone.
Some folks complain that he don’t always try his hardest these days. Say he’s just there for the money, phoning it in, as the young’uns say. Maybe so, maybe so. But even when he ain’t tryin’ his best, he’s still better than most of them other fellas.
He’s been doin’ this for a long, long time, you know. Had a heck of a career. From beatin’ up folks on Monday nights to winnin’ championships all over the world. He’s done it all.
I don’t know when he’ll be back, or if he’ll be back. But I’ll tell you what, when that music hits and he comes walkin’ down that ramp, you know somethin’ excitin’s gonna happen. He might not be the young fella he used to be, but he’s still Brock Lesnar, and that means somethin’ in the wrestlin’ world. He’s a fighter, a winner, and a darn good showman, even if he don’t always look like he’s enjoyin’ himself.
And that’s all I gotta say ’bout Brock Lesnar. He’s a tough fella, a winnin’ fella, and when he’s around, things are always more interestin’. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about fightin’ has made me hungry.
