Alright, so y’all wanna know about this Lane Kiffin fella and his, uh, whatchamacallit, his wife, right? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I know. Don’t expect no fancy words though, I ain’t no scholar, just a plain ol’ person.
So, this Lane Kiffin guy, he’s a big shot football coach, you know, one of them fellas who yell at young men on the field. He’s coachin’ at that Mississippi University now, yessir, big-time college football. He used to be married to a woman named Layla, yeah, Layla Kiffin. They was hitched for a good long while, from like the year 2000 all the way to 2016. That’s a heap of years, ain’t it?
Who is this Layla Kiffin anyway? Well, from what I hear, she used to be a volleyball player and a coach too. A sporty gal, just like her husband, I guess. They say them two lovebirds, they met way back in 1999. Lane, he was visitin’ his daddy, Monte Kiffin, and that’s when he bumped into Layla. Must’ve been sparks flyin’ or somethin’, ’cause they got hitched not too long after.
Now, I ain’t sure about all the details, but they got themselves three kids. Three young’uns runnin’ around, probably makin’ a whole lotta noise. I tell ya, raisin’ kids is hard work, even harder than plowin’ a field all day, I reckon. And seems like these Kiffins, they did it while Lane was busy coachin’ football. That’s a tough job, always travelin’ and yellin’ and all that.
- Lane Kiffin: Football coach, yells a lot.
- Layla Kiffin: Used to play volleyball, Lane’s ex-wife.
- Married: 2000 to 2016, a long darn time.
- Kids: Three of ’em, little rascals, I bet.
I heard tell that Lane, he gets real worked up about them football rankings and committees. He goes on that there social media, fussin’ and complainin’ ’bout how things ain’t fair. Just like my old rooster, always crowin’ about somethin’. I guess that’s just how some folks are, always gotta have somethin’ to gripe about. But hey, that’s his job, gotta fight for his team, right?
So, Layla and Lane, they ain’t together no more. Things happen, you know. Marriage is hard, even when you ain’t a big-time football coach. Folks grow apart, they change, sometimes it just don’t work out. That’s life, ain’t it? Like a cornfield, sometimes it grows tall and strong, sometimes it withers in the sun.
Now, I don’t know if Lane’s got himself another woman, or if Layla’s found another fella. That’s their business, not mine. I’m just tellin’ ya what I heard, piecin’ it together like a quilt. They was married, they got kids, and now they ain’t. Simple as that.
Lane Kiffin’s coaching career has taken him all over the place. He’s been a head coach at a bunch of different schools and even in the NFL for a bit. That’s a lot of movin’ around, a lot of new places and new faces. Must be hard on a family, all that shufflin’ about. But that’s the life of a football coach, I guess, always chasin’ the next win, the next championship.
So there ya have it, the story of Lane Kiffin and his ex-wife Layla, as best as I can tell it. It ain’t a fairy tale, but it’s real life. People meet, they fall in love, they get married, sometimes they have kids, and sometimes they go their separate ways. It’s the same story, just with different folks playin’ the parts. Now, you go on and do somethin’ useful, I gotta go feed my chickens.
