Alright, so you wanna know ’bout them Lakers guards, huh? Especially that Russell fella. Well, let me tell ya, I ain’t no fancy sports person, but I watch them games sometimes when the cows are milked and supper’s done.
Lakers Season Starting, they say. Soon, real soon. Means them fellas gotta start runnin’ and jumpin’ and throwin’ that ball. And that Russell, D’Angelo Russell, he’s one of them guards. He’s the one with the ball most of the time, seems like. Gotta be quick, that one. Like a chicken chasin’ a bug!
Heard some folks complainin’ ’bout him. Sayin’ he ain’t good enough, or somethin’. Folks always complainin’, ain’t they? But that Russell, he don’t seem to care much. He just keeps playin’. Don’t Back Down, that’s what I like to see. Reminds me of my old mule, stubborn as a…well, you know.
- He can score, that’s for sure. Thirty points, they said? That’s a lot of points, even I know that. Sounds like he had a good game that time. Scoring Points is important, right? Like countin’ eggs, gotta keep track.
- And he passes the ball too. Assists, they call ’em. Helpin’ his teammates score. That’s good, right? Teamwork, like when we used to have them barn raisin’s. Everybody gotta do their part. Good Assists means everyone can get points.
- Thirty-four points another time? And LeBron scored twenty-eight? Beat Portland bad, huh? Sounds like they were whoopin’ ’em good. Beating Portland is always good it seems, folks cheer louder.
I heard tell he plays for the Lakers, plays in Los Angeles. That’s a big city, ain’t it? Way bigger than our little town. Probably got more folks there than we got chickens. Los Angeles Lakers, that’s what they call ’em. Fancy name.
Someone told me he’s been with his gal since 2020. Got two little ones, Riley and Mila-Rose. That’s nice. Family is important, even for them basketball players. Russell’s Family, makes him seem like a regular fella, you know? Just with more money and a better jump shot.
They got all them stats and numbers and stuff. Like when he scored the most points against the Timberwolves back in 2019. I don’t pay much attention to that. Too much like countin’ beans. But some folks like that kinda thing. Most Points in a Game is a big deal I hear. Like gettin’ the biggest pumpkin at the county fair.
So, that Russell fella, he’s a guard. He runs around, throws the ball, scores points. Sometimes he’s good, sometimes maybe not so good. But he keeps playin’. And that’s all that matters, I reckon. Just like farmin’, gotta keep goin’ even when the weather’s bad and the crops ain’t growin’. Lakers Guards gotta be tough and quick, both him and that other one, Hachimura. Heard he starts the games sometimes too.
Anyways, that’s about all I know ’bout them Lakers guards and that Russell. Hope it makes some sense to ya. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on them chickens. They’re probably gettin’ into mischief again.
