Alright, so you wanna know about this Keith Miller fella, huh? Well, gather ’round, and I’ll tell ya what I heard. It’s a sad story, real sad. This young man, Keith Miller, seems like he was a good kid, played that football game, you know, the one with the pigskin?
Young Football Player Gone Too Soon
They say he was a wide receiver, fast as a jackrabbit, I reckon. Played for some college teams, Texas AM-Commerce and Colorado Buffaloes, they say. Don’t know much about them colleges, but they must be somethin’ if a boy like him played there. Folks called him a team captain, too. That means he was a leader, a good one, I bet. Always looked up to them captains, ya know, the ones who take charge and get things done.
- He played wide receiver.
- He was a team captain.
- He played for Texas AM-Commerce and Colorado Buffaloes.
But then, tragedy struck. They found him dead in his apartment. Just like that, gone. Too young, way too young. They say he was only 23. Lord have mercy, that’s just a baby. Makes you think, doesn’t it? One minute you’re runnin’ around, catchin’ that football, and the next… poof. Gone like a puff of smoke. Makes an old woman like me appreciate every sunrise, you know?
Now, there’s another Keith Miller they talkin’ about. This one was a lawyer, a big shot in Texas. Tyler, they say. He was older, 66 when he passed. Heart attack, that’s what they say got him. A lawyer, huh? Must’ve been a smart fella, always arguin’ and talkin’. But even the smart ones and the strong ones, they ain’t immune to the Lord’s callin’, are they?
Different Folks, Same Name, Same Ending
See, it’s funny how life works. Two fellas, both named Keith Miller. One young, full of life, playin’ that football game. The other older, makin’ his way in the world with words and such. But in the end, they both ended up the same place. Six feet under, that’s where we all go eventually. Ain’t no escapin’ it, no matter how fast you run or how smart you are.
Remembering Keith Miller
So, what do we do? We remember ’em. We remember the young fella who chased that football and the older fella who argued his cases. We remember their names, Keith Miller. And we think about how precious life is, how it can be snatched away in the blink of an eye. And maybe, just maybe, we hug our loved ones a little tighter and appreciate the time we got. ‘Cause you never know when it’s gonna be your time. That’s what I say. Life’s short, real short. Gotta make the most of it, every blessed day.
And that young Keith Miller, the football player? They was sayin’ somethin’ ’bout him bein’ found in his apartment near campus. Poor boy, all alone like that. It just ain’t right. Makes you wanna reach out and hold your own young’uns close, don’t it? And that other fella, the lawyer, they say he had a heart attack. Just goes to show ya, it can happen to anyone, anytime. So be good to each other, folks. That’s all we can do in this world.
They say that young Keith fella, he was somethin’ special on that field. Fast, they say. Like a deer, I imagine. And the lawyer, he must’ve been somethin’ special too, with all them fancy words and such. But in the end, it don’t matter how fast you run or how many fancy words you know. What matters is the kindness you show and the love you give. That’s what I believe, anyways. And that’s what I’ll remember about these Keith Millers, even though I never met ‘em. They was here, they lived, and now they’re gone. And that’s the story of life, ain’t it?
Life’s a fleeting thing, a wisp of smoke, gone before you know it. So cherish them moments, the small ones and the big ones. ‘Cause when it’s over, it’s over, and all you got left is memories. And them memories, well, they gotta be good ones. So make some good memories, folks. That’s the best advice this old woman can give ya. And remember them Keith Millers, both of ‘em. Remember they lived and they mattered. That’s all any of us can ask for in the end.
