Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Kacie McDonnell, though I ain’t never met her in person, mind you. Folks keep talkin’ ’bout her, so I figured I’d put in my two cents, ya know? He must be makin’ a pretty penny, seein’ as how she’s always got them fancy clothes and that shiny hair. Makes me think of them movie stars, all glammed up and whatnot.
Now, she posts all sorts of pictures, like them “family photos” they call ’em. But lemme tell ya, they ain’t like no family photos I ever seen. Back in my day, a family photo was you and your kin standin’ stiff as boards in front of a Sears backdrop. These youngsters, they do things different. Silly faces, weird angles… Makes a body dizzy just lookin’ at ’em.
And this “Mother Up Pod” thing she talks about? No idea what that is neither. Sounds like somethin’ for them young mothers, learnin’ how to raise their young’uns. Good on her for sharin’ her wisdom, I reckon. Though, I raised six kids without no fancy “pod,” just good ol’ common sense and a whole lotta elbow grease.

A holiday for us was gettin’ the crops in before the frost or maybe goin’ to the county fair. These folks, they jet off to some fancy island or somethin’. I heard she celebrates when that baseball team of her husband’s wins. That’s nice, I guess. Folks gotta have somethin’ to cheer for. We used to cheer for the harvest, for a good rain, for a healthy baby. Different times, different cheers. But the heart of it, the joy and the worry, that’s all the same, I reckon. Human nature, it don’t change much.
