Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this osu football injuries thing. It ain’t pretty, that’s for sure. These boys, they go out there and bang heads, and sometimes, well, things just happen. It’s like when you’re out in the field, workin’ hard, and somethin’ just gives. You know?
I heard tell that back in that game against Oregon, somethin’ bad happened. One of the fellas, a real important one, got hurt. They said they couldn’t afford to lose him. That’s the way it goes, ain’t it? You got your best players, and then, boom, somethin’ goes wrong. It’s like losin’ your best plow horse right before harvest.
Then there was that game, I think they lost that one. And after, they was all banged up. Lots of ’em hurtin’. They needed a rest, them boys did. It’s like when you been workin’ in the sun all day, gotta take a break and cool off. But sometimes, a break ain’t enough. Sometimes, the damage is done.
- One fella, Williams they call him, he was missin’. Couldn’t play, I guess. They didn’t even put him on that report thingy, so you know it was bad.
- Then there was this Kacmarek fella, and Michalski too. They said they was “out.” That means they ain’t playin’, not for a while.
I heard that coach, Day, that’s his name, he said somethin’ about one of the defense fellas. He’s a good one, they say. Hope he ain’t hurt too bad. You need your defense strong, like a good fence around your chickens. Gotta keep them varmints out.
And that McLaughlin fella, he got hurt too. But then, they said Kacmarek was comin’ back. So, it’s like one goes down, another gets up. It’s like plantin’ seeds. Some don’t grow, but others do. You just gotta keep goin’.
Then there’s this Ransom boy. The coach, he didn’t say nothin’ about him. Wouldn’t say if he was hurt or not. That worries me, you know? When they don’t say nothin’, that’s usually when it’s bad. Like when the doctor comes out lookin’ all serious, you know somethin’ ain’t right.
Football injuries, it’s a tough business. These boys, they put their bodies on the line, every game. And sometimes, they pay the price. It’s like farmin’, you know? You work hard, you put in everything you got, but sometimes the weather ain’t right, or the pests get in, and you lose it all. It ain’t fair, but that’s life, ain’t it?
You just gotta hope they get better, them boys. Gotta hope they can heal up and get back out there. They’re young and strong, most of ’em. But even the strongest trees can break in a storm. You just gotta hope they got good roots, you know? Gotta hope they can weather the storm and come back stronger. That’s what matters.
And you gotta hope them coaches are lookin’ out for them. Gotta hope they ain’t pushin’ ’em too hard. Gotta hope they’re takin’ care of them boys, makin’ sure they’re healthy and safe. It ain’t just about winnin’ games, you know? It’s about takin’ care of your people. That’s what matters most.
So, that’s what I know about these osu football injuries. It ain’t a pretty picture, but it’s the truth. And the truth is, sometimes things happen. Sometimes people get hurt. And all you can do is hope for the best, and keep on goin’. That’s all there is to it.
