Alright, let’s talk about this Johnny Booty fella. Sounds like a big ol’ name, don’t it? Like one of them fellas you see on TV, throwin’ the pigskin around.
Who is this Johnny Booty?
Well, from what I gather, this Johnny Booty, he ain’t just one fella. Seems like there’s a whole bunch of ‘em! It’s like a whole family of Bootys, all playin’ that football game.
- There’s one Johnny Booty, a big strong fella, played quarterback way back when, in some place called Baton Rouge and Shreveport. Folks say he was one of the best, everyone wanted him on their team. High school, I reckon.
- Then there’s another one, John David Booty. He was a fast learner, that one. Finished school early and went off to play for some fancy team, Southern Cal they call it. Sat on the bench for a while, learnin’ the ropes, I guess.
- And wouldn’t you know it, there’s even a General Booty! Now that’s a name, ain’t it? Another quarterback, this one from Texas. Young fella, just starting out. Folks are excited about him, say he’s got a bright future.
Sounds like football runs in the family, like them chickens we got out back, always clucking and pecking. One generation after another, just keep on playin’ that game.
Football Family, Just Like Farmers
It reminds me of farmin’, you know? Your daddy does it, and his daddy before him. You grow up with it, learn the ropes, and then you pass it on down. These Bootys, they’re the same way with football, seems like. It’s in their blood.
This Abram fella, one of the Booty boys’ daddy, he said somethin’ about the way they play football. Said the team’s playin’ style wasn’t exactly right for his boys, but they played anyway. That’s like plantin’ corn when the weatherman says it ain’t gonna rain. You do it anyway, ‘cause that’s what you know, that’s what you do. You make do with what you got, work hard, and hope for the best.
High School Stars and Big Time Dreams
Seems like these Booty boys, they all started out in high school, just like most folks do. Became big stars, got their names in the paper, and then went on to bigger and better things. It’s like growin’ a prize-winning pumpkin, you start with a little seed, nurture it, and then you got somethin’ special.
Some of ‘em went on to college, played for big teams. Some of ‘em, maybe they didn’t make it quite as big, but they still played. It’s the playin’ that matters, I reckon. Just like farmin’, it ain’t always about havin’ the biggest harvest, it’s about the work you put in, the sweat and the toil.
More Than Just a Name
Now, that name, Booty, it sure does catch your attention, don’t it? Folks probably make fun of it, but these fellas, they don’t seem to mind none. They made that name mean somethin’. They made it a name you remember, a name you associate with football. It’s like callin’ your prize bull “Big Bess”. People might chuckle, but they remember Big Bess when she wins the blue ribbon.
This 2B fella, or girl maybe, I don’t rightly know. Sounds like a whole different story, nothin’ to do with football or the Booty family. Some kinda soldier, fightin’ in a war. War is a terrible thing, just like a bad drought. Destroys everything in its path. Glad my boys didn’t have to go off to no war.
So, that’s what I know about Johnny Booty and his kin. A whole family of football players, makin’ a name for themselves. They work hard, play hard, and don’t let nothin’ stop ’em. Just like good, honest folks should. And that General Booty fella, with a name like that, he’s bound to be somethin’ special. Just you wait and see.
In short, this Booty family, they’re football through and through. Just like some folks are born to farm, these fellas were born to throw that pigskin. And that’s all there is to it, plain and simple.
