Alright, let’s talk about them Steelers, yeah? The Steelers schedule 2023, that’s what we’re lookin’ at. I ain’t no fancy expert or nothin’, but I can tell ya what I see, plain and simple.
So, first off, they got this game, see? Week 5, they played them Cowboys. Lost by a hair, 20 to 17, they did. Close game, real close. Made me spit nails, I tell ya. Cowboys ain’t nothin’ special, if you ask me.
- Game 1: (Whenever it was, they played somebody, I reckon.)
- Game 2: Another one, they played it, probably won, maybe lost, who knows? (I’m jokin’, they keep track of this stuff, but I ain’t got it all in my head, ya know.)
- Game 3 and on: They played a bunch more, that’s for sure. Lots of games in a season, seems like an awful lot of runnin’ around to me.
Now, they play at that… A-cray-sure Stadium, they call it. Big place, I hear. Been playin’ there since 2001, long time. I remember when they used to play… well, never you mind. Long time ago.
They won nine games this year, yessir. Beat them Bengals, 44 to 38. High scorin’ game, that one. Folks were happy, I bet. Nothin’ like a win to make ya feel good, even if you ain’t playin’ yourself.
This 2023 schedule, it’s got all sorts of teams on it. Patriots in Week 14, I saw that somewhere. December 7th, that game was. Hope they thumped ‘em good. Them Patriots, always thinkin’ they’re so smart.
And them Super Bowls, they been to eight of ‘em, won six. That’s a lot, right? Used to be a real powerhouse, them Steelers. Folks talkin’ about ’em all the time, wearin’ them black and gold shirts everywhere you looked.
They got this website, FBSchedules somethin’ or other, they say it has the schedule. Dates and who they playin’. Too much clickin’ around for me. I like it when someone just tells me straight, ya know? Like, “Hey, they playin’ so-and-so on such-and-such a day.” Simple.
ESPN, they got the schedule too. Game times and all that. Fancy folks watchin’ on TV, I guess. Me, I just listen on the radio sometimes. Easier on the eyes, and I can still get my chores done while I hear what’s goin’ on.
Preseason games, they had some of those too. KDKA, they showed ‘em on TV. And one was even on national TV, against the Falcons. Preseason don’t really count for nothin’ though, far as I’m concerned. Just a warm-up, like stretchin’ before you go work in the garden.
They been havin’ good seasons, mostly. Twenty-one years without a losin’ season, they say. That’s somethin’ to be proud of, I reckon. Consistent, that’s what they are. Like a good ol’ workhorse, always pullin’ their weight.
So that’s the Steelers 2023 season, best as I can tell ya. They played a bunch of games, won some, lost some. That’s football, ain’t it? Ups and downs, just like life. But them Steelers, they always give it their all, and that’s what matters, right?
And remember, they always playin’ at that Acrisure Stadium, so if you’re in the neighborhood, go on and cheer ‘em on. Wear somethin’ black and gold, maybe wave a Terrible Towel. They like that, I hear.
Go Steelers! That’s what everyone says, right? Even if I don’t always know who they’re playin’ or when, I’m rootin’ for ‘em. They’re our team, after all.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about football makes a body hungry.
