Well now, let’s talk about this fella, Dalton Schultz. I heard some folks jabberin’ about him and that “combine” thing. Don’t rightly know what all that fancy stuff means, but I can tell ya what I gathered.

First off, this Schultz boy, he plays that football game. You know, the one where them big ol’ boys run around and smack into each other. He’s one of them tight end fellas, which I reckon means he catches the ball and sometimes blocks them other fellas from gettin’ to the quarterback.
Seems like he used to play for them Cowboys, yeah, the ones with the star on their helmets. Heard tell he got there after some big shot named Jason Witten up and quit. This Schultz, he played there for a good while, five years they say, before he went off to Houston. Now he’s playin’ for the Texans. They just gave him a big ol’ contract, somethin’ about 36 million dollars over three years. That’s a whole lotta money, more than I ever seen in my whole life, that’s for sure.
- He played for the Cowboys.
- Now he’s with the Texans.
- Got himself a big ol’ contract.
They say he was at somethin’ called a “combine” in Indianapolis. This was back in 2023, I think. Folks was talkin’ about his speed, said he can run pretty fast for a big fella. Somethin’ about 4.75 seconds in somethin’ called the “40-yard dash.” Sounds like he ain’t no slouch, that’s for sure.
Now, some folks are whisperin’ that this Schultz, he ain’t too happy about how things ended with them Cowboys. Said he just walked away and signed a short deal with the Texans, just one year. But then, he played so good they gave him that big ol’ contract I was tellin’ ya about. Seems like he showed them Cowboys what’s what.
They sayin’ Houston might trade some fellas, but ain’t nobody said nothin’ ’bout gettin’ rid of Schultz. Guess they need him to catch them balls and keep them other fellas from hurtin’ their quarterback. That boy worked hard and proved himself , that’s what they all say.
Anyways, that’s what I heard about this Dalton Schultz and this “combine” thing. He sounds like a hard worker, that’s for sure. He played hard and got himself a good contract. More power to him, I say. It’s a hard life out there, and if he can make a livin’ playin’ that football game, then good for him. I still think it’s a bit crazy all that money for catchin’ and runnin’ around with a ball, but hey, times are changing, that’s for sure. Lord knows I could use some of that money to fix my roof, that’s for sure.
So, to sum it up, Dalton Schultz is a football player, he played for the Cowboys, now he’s with the Texans, he got a big ol’ contract, he’s fast, and maybe a little bit mad at the Cowboys. And that’s all I know about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
