Well, howdy there, y’all! Let’s gab a bit about somethin’ that’s been happenin’ lately, this here WWE releases thing. Folks comin’ and goin’, it’s like a darn revolving door, I tell ya.
So, this year, 2024, started off with a bang, or maybe a whimper, dependin’ on who ya ask. Big names like that Jinder Mahal fella, and that Xia Li girl, and, uh, what’s his name… Veer Mahan, they all got the boot early on. Can ya believe it? Just like that, gone!
Then, right ‘fore that Crown Jewel Weekend thingy, boom! More folks out the door. Just ‘fore SmackDown even started, they sent a bunch packin’. Some of ’em were pretty well-known too, made ya scratch yer head and wonder what in tarnation was goin’ on.
- First off, that fella Baron Corbin, used to be the United States Champion, ya know. They say they just didn’t wanna give him a new contract. Guess they figgered he wasn’t worth the trouble no more.
- Then there’s that Indi Hartwell girl, she was a champion too, down in that NXT place. And that Tegan Nox, she was in both NXT and the big leagues. Them two, they just straight up released ’em, no fancy talk about contracts or nothin’.
It’s been happenin’ all year long, this WWE realeases thing. Keeps folks guessin’, that’s for sure. You just never know who’s gonna be next. One minute they’re on TV, fightin’ and whatnot, the next minute they’re gone, like a fart in the wind.
Heck, I even heard some folks talkin’ ’bout that Viking Raiders fella. Some fan was sayin’ somethin’ ’bout some letters, “PFR” they used on TV, and how it means somethin’ like war in some old language. Sounded like a bunch of hooey to me, but folks get worked up about all sorts of things, ya know.
This wrestlin’ business, it’s a tough one, I reckon. One day yer on top of the world, the next yer lookin’ for a new job. Makes ya wonder what these fellas and gals are gonna do next. Maybe they’ll go wrestle somewhere else, maybe they’ll open a feed store, who knows?
It ain’t just the wrestlers neither. Sometimes they let go of the folks behind the scenes too, the ones who set up the ring and all that. It’s a whole lot of people affected by these WWE realeases, more than ya might think.
So, that’s the story, as best as I can tell it. Lots of changes, lots of folks movin’ around. It’s enough to make yer head spin, I tell ya. But that’s the way it is, I guess. Nothin’ stays the same forever, not even in the wrestlin’ world.
And if you’re thinkin’ about gettin’ into the wrestlin’ business, well, you better have a thick skin and a backup plan. ‘Cause you just never know when yer gonna be on the list for the next round of WWE releases. It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there, and the wrestlin’ ring ain’t no different.
WWE roster changes, that’s what it is, plain and simple. They hire ‘em, they fire ‘em. It’s just the way things go. And us folks, well, we just watch it all unfold, wonderin’ what’s gonna happen next. It’s like a soap opera, only with more muscles and spandex.
So, there ya have it, my two cents on this whole WWE releases 2024 situation. A whole lotta folks comin’ and goin’, and a whole lotta speculation about why. But at the end of the day, it’s just business, I reckon. And business ain’t always pretty, now is it?
And that’s all I gotta say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens. They’re probably wonderin’ where I got off to.
