Alright, listen up y’all, we gonna talk about them fantasy football kickers. Don’t you go rollin’ your eyes at me, kickers matter! Yeah, they ain’t flashy like them quarterbacks or runnin’ backs, but they can win or lose you a game, ya hear?
So, I been lookin’ around, seein’ what folks are sayin’ ’bout these kickers. Week 1, they was talkin’ ’bout this Tyler Bass fella, and that Brandon Aubrey, Jake Moody too. Younghoe Koo, that’s a funny name, ain’t it? Cameron Dicker, Jason Sanders, Greg Zuerlein… a whole bunch of ’em. Sounds like a fancy phone book, if ya ask me.
But you know what? Them fellas in Houston, Kansas City, and Detroit, they got some good kickers too. This Ka’imi Fairbairn, Harrison Butker, and Jake Bates, they say they’re real strong choices. Week 7, they was sayin’ start ’em, so I guess they must be alright. Don’t go askin’ me why, I just hear things, ya know?
- Week 1 Kickers: Tyler Bass, Brandon Aubrey, Jake Moody, Younghoe Koo, Cameron Dicker, Jason Sanders, Greg Zuerlein.
- Strong Week 7 Kickers: Ka’imi Fairbairn, Harrison Butker, Jake Bates.
Now, some smarty-pants fellas, they call themselves “experts.” This Justin Edwards fella, he’s one of ‘em. He’s always lookin’ at rankings and projections, whatever that means. Week 3 he was talkin’ a lot, after two weeks of football. He probably sits in front of a computer all day, bless his heart.
And then there’s all these other lists. Week 3 kicker rankings, they call ‘em. They got ’em for quarterbacks, runnin’ backs, receivers, tight ends, defense… even a “flex,” whatever the heck that is. And they always say “SF,” which I figure means San Francisco, but who knows? It’s all a bunch of mumbo jumbo if you ask me. But I reckon it helps some folks, so I’m passin’ it on.
Matt Prater, that’s another name I heard. He’s a kicker, see? They put his name in them rankings too. ESPN, that’s a big TV channel, they got their own rankings. Week 3, week 3, week 3, that’s all they was talkin’ about. Like them kickers was the most important thing in the world. It’s always week somethin’ or other with these football folks. They love to complicate things, I tell ya.
Now, here’s the thing about kickers. You don’t gotta pick ’em first, ya hear? Them experts, they say pick ’em last. Last round, that’s what they say. ‘Cause, I guess, they ain’t as important as them other fellas. But like I said, they can still win or lose ya a game, so don’t go ignorin’ ‘em completely.
So, when you’re doin’ your fantasy draft, remember what I told ya. Pay attention to them kickers, even if it’s just a little bit. And don’t get all caught up in them fancy numbers and projections. Just pick a fella who can kick the ball straight, and hope for the best. That’s all you can do, ain’t it?
And for goodness sake, don’t spend too much time frettin’ over it. It’s just a game, ya know? Go outside, get some fresh air, talk to your neighbors. Life’s too short to be worryin’ about fantasy football kickers all day long. But if you’re gonna play, at least try to win, right? So listen to this old woman, pick a good kicker, and don’t forget to have fun.
Remember: Kickers last round, got it? Good. Now go on and enjoy your football.
