Alright, let’s talk about this Armored Core 6 cross play thing. My grandson, he’s always yappin’ about these games. Says this Armored Core 6 is a big deal, lots of shootin’ and robots and such.
He keeps askin’ me, “Grandma, can I play with my friend Billy who has that other game box?” I told him, “Hold your horses, kiddo! Grandma’s gotta figure this thing out.” So, I went and asked around, you know, poked my nose into those internet things.
From what I gather, this Armored Core 6, it’s got a bunch of shootin’ you can do with other folks. Like a big ol’ barn dance, but with more explosions and less fiddlin’. Sounds like fun, I guess, if you’re into that kinda thing.
But here’s the kicker, this cross play thing. Seems like you can’t always play with everyone. Like, if you got that Play-Station thingy and your friend’s got the X-Box, you might be outta luck. They ain’t always playin’ nice together, these game boxes. It’s like tryin’ to mix oil and water, I tell ya.
My grandson, he’s got that Play-Station 4. I heard this Armored Core 6 works on that one, and also that newer Play-Station 5, and even the old X-Box One and the new X-Box Series whatever-they-call-it. That’s a whole lotta boxes! And they say it’s on those computery things too, the “PC” they call ‘em. My grandson tells me that PCs can sometimes play with the game boxes, but sometimes not. It’s all a big ol’ mess if you ask me.
- PlayStation 4: Yep, it works.
- PlayStation 5: Works on this one too.
- Xbox One: You can play it here.
- Xbox Series X|S: This fancy new one works too.
- PC: Those computer fellers can play too, sometimes with the boxes.
Now, about playin’ with your friends on different boxes… that’s the crossplay part. Some games let you do it, some don’t. From what I heard, this Call of Duty game, the Black Ops 6 one, it lets everyone play together. Play-Station folks, X-Box folks, computer folks, they all can shoot each other up. But this Armored Core 6, it ain’t so clear.
I looked and looked, asked all the neighbor kids, even bothered the fella at the grocery store. Seems like Armored Core 6 doesn’t have cross play. Yep, you heard that right. If you’re on Play-Station, you gotta play with other Play-Station folks. Same goes for X-Box and those computer fellers. It’s a darn shame, if you ask me. My grandson, he really wanted to play with Billy. Now he’s all pouty-faced.
They keep updatin’ this game, though. My grandson said somethin’ about an “update 1.06” with a whole bunch of changes. Maybe they’ll add this cross play thing later. Who knows? These game makers, they’re always changin’ things up.
I also heard this game is doin’ real well. Sold millions of copies, they say. Guess folks like shootin’ robots. Maybe if enough folks yell and scream, they’ll add that cross play so my grandson can play with his friend Billy. We’ll see.
For now, though, if you wanna play Armored Core 6 with your friends, make sure you all got the same game box. Otherwise, you’ll be shootin’ at strangers, and that ain’t as fun as blastin’ your best pal, now is it?
Anyways, that’s the gist of it. Don’t come cryin’ to me if you can’t play with your friend on a different box. I told you how it is, plain and simple. Now, go on and have your fun, but don’t stay up too late! And don’t forget to eat your vegetables!
In short, Armored Core 6 is a popular game, available on multiple platforms, but it doesn’t have cross-platform multiplayer, so if you play on PlayStation you’re stuck with other PlayStation players and if you play on Xbox you have to play with other Xbox players.
