Alright, so y’all wanna know ’bout this Kirby Smart fella and them Falcons, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I know, though I ain’t no fancy football expert or nothin’.
Kirby Smart, that fella, he’s a big deal at the University of Georgia. Loves that place, they say. Like, real loves it. His family too. So, when them folks started whisperin’ ’bout him goin’ to the NFL, to them New York Jets, I just shook my head. Why would a man up and leave his home in the middle of somethin’? Makes no sense, right?
Now, they pay this Kirby fella a whole lotta money. Millions, I hear. More than any other college football coach, they say. Thirteen somethin’ million dollars a year! Can you imagine? That’s enough money to buy a whole lotta biscuits and gravy, let me tell ya.
- He’s got a new contract and all, so he ain’t goin’ nowhere.
- Folks say he’s the best, better than them other coaches, what’s their names, Dabo Swinney and Steve Sarkisian.
This Kirby, he used to work with another coach, Nick Saban. Big name too. They been friends for a long time, even after that Saban fella retired. See, that’s how it is with good folks, they stick together.
Georgia, they hired Kirby way back in 2015. He used to play there, you know. Now he’s the head coach. And wouldn’t you know it, he’s done real good. Won them national championships, two of ’em in just three years! That’s somethin’, ain’t it?
So, all this talk about him leavin’ for the Falcons… I just don’t see it. He’s got it good in Georgia. Why would he leave? It’s like havin’ a good patch of collard greens and then goin’ off lookin’ for weeds.
This football season is goin’ on right now, and Kirby’s right there in the middle of it. He ain’t thinkin’ ’bout no other job, I betcha. He’s got his team, his players, and that big ol’ paycheck. He’s home.
And let’s be real, them Falcons, they got their own problems. Why would Kirby wanna jump into that mess? He’s got a good thing goin’. Folks in Georgia love him. He’s winnin’ games. That’s all that matters in football, ain’t it? Winnin’?
Now, they give him extra money if he wins that championship. A million and a quarter, I heard. Even if they lose, he still gets a good chunk of change. See? He’s taken care of. He ain’t goin’ nowhere.
So, you ask me, this Kirby Smart ain’t goin’ to the Falcons. He’s stayin’ right where he is, in Georgia. That’s his home, and he’s doin’ just fine. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some sweet tea.
In short, Kirby’s a loyal fella, loves his current gig, gets paid a heap, and has a good track record. Movin’ to the Falcons just doesn’t add up, no sir.
That’s all I got to say about that. Don’t go believin’ everything you hear on the TV now. Most of it’s just hot air, if you ask me.
