Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk ’bout them Mets and Brewers, yeah, the baseball fellas. Don’t know much ’bout fancy stats, but I seen a game or two, and I can tell ya who’s hittin’ and who’s missin’. So, let’s get down to it, Mets versus Milwaukee Brewers, player stats and such, like they say.
First off, them Brewers, they been whuppin’ the Mets lately, somethin’ like 5-1, I heard tell. That ain’t good, not good at all. Means the Mets gotta get their act together, start hittin’ that ball harder and catchin’ better, ya know? Seems like them Brewers, they got some fellas hittin’ .256, that’s pretty good, I reckon. Team hittin’ like that, they gonna win most games.
Now, I heard about some fella, JD Martinez, yeah, that’s the one. He smacked a hit, got two fellas home, in one of them games. That’s what ya call clutch hittin’, right there. When you need a run or two, that’s the fella you want up at bat. He’s one of them Brewers, so the Mets pitchers, they gotta watch out for him.
- Mets gotta watch out for JD Martinez. He hits hard.
- Brewers been winnin’ most games against the Mets.
- Mets need to hit better and catch better.
Then there’s this other fella, Pete Alonso, plays for the Mets, I think. He hit one outta the park, got the Mets ahead for a bit. That’s what we like to see, them Mets boys showin’ some fight. But one fella can’t do it all by hisself, ya know? It takes the whole team, hittin’, pitchin’, catchin’, the whole shebang.
Heard tell of another fella, Francisco Lindor. Folks sayin’ he had a real good season, MVP kind of stuff. That’s somethin’, ain’t it? He plays for the Mets too, so that’s good news. But even with a good player like him, them Mets still losin’ to the Brewers. Makes ya scratch your head, it does.
They played a game on September 27th, I think. Don’t know who won, but there’s a box score somewhere, they say. Got all them numbers and such. ABs, and RBIs, and whatever else. Too much for my old brain, all them numbers. I just wanna know who won, who hit good, and who messed up.
And then there was another game, October 1st, they say. CBS folks was talkin’ ’bout it, showin’ it on that there TV thingy. Live coverage, they called it. Scorin’ and stats and all that jazz. Like I said, too much for me. But I reckon it was important, bein’ that late in the season and all.
Them Mets and Brewers, they got a history, been playin’ each other for a long time. Got all-time leaders and all that. Don’t care much ’bout that, just care ’bout who’s winnin’ now. But some folks like them numbers, like to know who done what way back when.
So, what’s the deal with these Mets vs Brewers player stats? Well, it seems like the Brewers got the upper hand right now. They hittin’ better, winnin’ more games. But the Mets got some good players too, like Alonso and Lindor. They just gotta get it together, work as a team, and start winnin’ some games. That’s all there is to it, plain and simple. Ain’t no need for all them fancy numbers and talk, just gotta hit the ball and catch it.
Key players to watch are JD Martinez for the Brewers, that fella can hit, and Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor for the Mets, they gotta step up and lead the team. And the pitchers, well, they gotta throw strikes and keep them hitters off base. That’s baseball, plain and simple. Hit the ball, catch the ball, throw the ball, and try to win the game.
Now, I don’t know ’bout all them fancy stats, but I know winnin’ when I see it. And right now, them Brewers, they doin’ the winnin’. But the season ain’t over yet, the Mets still got time to turn things around. They just gotta start playin’ better, hittin’ better, pitchin’ better, and catchin’ better. And maybe, just maybe, they can beat them Brewers next time they play.
