Well, let me tell ya ’bout this young fella, Khamari Terrell. Folks been talkin’ ’bout him, so I figured I’d share what I heard.
Who is this Khamari Terrell fella, anyway?
See, this Khamari, he’s a football player, plays defense for them Oregon Ducks. Yep, them Ducks. Been playin’ for ’em for three years now, even though he didn’t play one whole season, they called it a “redshirt,” whatever that means. Kids these days with their fancy words.
- He plays defensive back, that means he tries to stop the other team from catchin’ the ball and scorin’. Important job, that is.
- Folks say he was real good in high school, a “four-star prospect” they called him. Came from Shoemaker High School in Killeen, Texas. Big place, Texas, I hear.
From High School Star to College Duck
Now, this boy, he was fast, real fast. Ran track too. Heard tell he could run the 100 in 10.72 seconds. That’s like greased lightnin’, I tell ya! And the 200 in 21.06! My goodness! Faster than a chicken runnin’ from a fox. So, he signs this “letter of intent” thing, said he was gonna play for Oregon. Flew all the way out west, guess he liked them Ducks. Folks were sayin’ he was a big get for the team. A “verbal commitment” they called it, promisin’ to play for ’em.
Playing for the Ducks and then… What’s This “Transfer Portal”?
He’s been playin’ for the Ducks, like I said. But here’s the thing, I heard he’s gonna leave. Somethin’ called a “transfer portal.” Sounds like a fancy door to me. He’s gonna go play somewhere else, I reckon. Don’t know why, maybe he didn’t like the food? Maybe the weather was too cold? Who knows? Young folks these days, they do what they want.
A Big Deal on the Field
This Khamari, he’s a pretty big fella, 6 foot 1, they say. That’s taller than most folks ’round here. And strong too, I bet. Gotta be strong to play that football. Knockin’ folks down and all. They say he was a cornerback, that’s one of them defensive backs. Important position. Gotta be quick and smart. Seems like this boy had it all, speed, size, smarts.
What’s Next for Khamari?
Now, where he’ll go, I don’t know. But I reckon he’ll play football somewhere. He’s too good not to play. Might go back to Texas, might try another team out west, might go somewhere else entirely. It’s a whole big country out there, plenty of places to play football. This “transfer portal” thing, it’s got all the players movin’ around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. Hard to keep track, I tell ya.
People Are Talkin’
Folks are talkin’ though, they always are. Wonderin’ where he’ll go, what he’ll do. Some say he’ll be a star, some say he’ll be a bust. That’s how it is with these young fellas, ya never know. But I tell ya what, this Khamari, he’s got somethin’ special. I seen it in his eyes, even just in them pictures on the computer. Got that fire in him, that determination. He’ll be alright.
My Two Cents on Khamari Terrell
So, that’s the story of Khamari Terrell, as best as I can tell it. A fast young fella, played for the Oregon Ducks, now he’s movin’ on. Maybe he’ll find what he’s lookin’ for, maybe he won’t. That’s life, ain’t it? Just gotta keep on movin’ forward, like a good ol’ tractor in a field. I wish him well, I do. Hope he finds a good place to play, a place where he’s happy. That’s all that matters in the end, ain’t it? Bein’ happy. And maybe catchin’ a few footballs along the way.
Update on Khamari, they all on the internet now.
Seems like they post everything on that internet. If you want to know more about Khamari Terrell, you can look him up on them sports websites like this one they call “On3”. They got all sorts of information on him, statistics they call it, news, and all that jazz. It’s a whole new world out there, I tell ya. Back in my day, you just read the newspaper, if you could read at all! But now you can find out everything about everyone on that darn computer. Kids these days, they know everything.
