Alright, let’s talk about this “CJ Cup” thing. I don’t know much about fancy golf, but I heard folks talkin’ about it, so I figured I’d tell ya what I know, the way I know how. Don’t expect no fancy words or nothin’.
What’s This CJ Cup Anyways?
Well, from what I gather, it’s one of them golf games, a big one, they say. Seems like a bunch of fellas get together and whack a little ball around a big ol’ field. This here CJ Cup, it’s got a name, Byron Nelson, sounds like a fancy fella. They have it at a place called TPC Craig Ranch, in McKinney, Texas. Texas, huh? That’s where them cowboys are, right? Maybe these golfers are cowboys of a different sort, whackin’ balls instead of herdin’ cows.
- It’s a golf tournament, that’s for sure.
- They play it at a place called TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas.
- Big-shot golfers go there, I reckon.
How Can You Watch This Here Golf Game?
Now, this is where it gets a little tricky for an old gal like me. They got all these newfangled ways of watchin’ things these days. It ain’t like the old days when you just had that one box in the corner of the room. First off, they say somethin’ about “PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+”. Sounds like a bunch of gibberish to me, but I reckon it’s one of them places you can watch it on TV, or maybe on that computery thing, the internet, they call it. You gotta pay for it, though, they say. Nothin’s free these days, is it?
Then there’s this “Peacock” thing. Sounds like a bird, but they say it’s another way to watch. And somethin’ called “The CW”, which I think is another TV channel. They also say you can watch it on somethin’ called “LIV Golf Plus”. Land sakes, so many choices! It’s enough to make your head spin. I guess if you really wanna watch these fellas golfin’, you gotta figure out which one of these things you got, or wanna get. Me? I’ll just listen to the neighbors gossiping about it, that’s good enough for me.
When Can You Watch It?
They play this golf game for a few days, it seems. They got rounds, they call ’em. Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and so on. Seems like they start on Thursday and go on through the weekend. They got times and all, but I can’t be bothered with all them numbers. If you really wanna watch, you can find them times somewhere, I’m sure. Maybe on that internet thing, or in the newspaper, if they still make those.
Anything Else I Should Know?
Well, they got scores, of course. They keep track of how many times them fellas hit the ball. The fewer hits, the better, I guess. That Byron Nelson fella, his name is on the cup, so I reckon he must’ve been a pretty good golfer back in the day. And this year, 2024, they’re havin’ it again at that TPC Craig Ranch place in Texas. They had one in South Carolina too, back in 2022, at a place called Congaree Golf Club, sounds fancy again. Seems like they move it around sometimes.
So, What’s the Big Deal?
Honestly, I don’t know. To me, it just looks like a bunch of fellas walking around in funny pants, hittin’ a little ball. But folks seem to like it. They get all excited about it, yellin’ and clappin’. Guess it’s like anything else, some folks like watchin’ fellas runnin’ after a ball, some like watchin’ fellas hittin’ a ball, and some like me, just like sittin’ on the porch and watchin’ the grass grow.
But if you’re lookin’ to watch that there CJ Cup, now you know a little somethin’ about it. You know it’s golf, you know where they play it, and you know a few places you might be able to watch it. More than that, I can’t tell ya. You’ll have to figure out the rest yourself. Good luck with that, and don’t forget to go outside and get some fresh air every now and then. That’s more important than watchin’ any golf game, if you ask me. And you know what they say, live scores and tournament info are important, but so is a good cup of coffee in the morning!
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about this here “CJ Cup”. Hope it helped ya some. If not, well, I tried my best. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my biscuits.
