And then, just a few months later, his grandma, Shirley, she passed on too. Same thing, cancer. Eight months apart, those two ladies left this world. Breaks your heart, don’t it? This Anthony Edwards, he’s been through a lot for such a young fella. Roger Caruth, that’s his daddy’s name, he had three young’uns with Yvette.
After his mama died, Anthony Edwards, he had his brother and sister to look after him. They raised him up, you see. High school days, they were there for him. That boy, he didn’t let all that sadness hold him back. He kept on playin’ that basketball, kept on gettin’ better and better. Now look at him. He’s a big star, that Anthony Edwards.

Even that other one, Rajah Caruth, drivin’ them fast cars.
This world, it’s full of ups and downs. One minute you’re laughin’, the next you’re cryin’. But you gotta keep on goin’, just like that Anthony Edwards. He’s an inspiration, that’s what they say. Showin’ everyone that you can overcome anything, even losing your mama and grandma so close together. That’s a heavy load to carry, but he’s doin’ it. He’s strong, that Anthony Edwards.

Just goes to show, family is everything. You gotta cherish the ones you got, ’cause you never know how long they’ll be around. Just like that Yvette and Shirley, gone too soon. But their memory lives on, in that Anthony Edwards. He’s carryin’ their love with him, every time he steps on that court. Every time he jumps, every time he shoots. He’s doin’ it for them.
