Well, let me tell you, that WWE, that rasslin’ thing, it’s somethin’ else. My grandkids, they just love it. They’re always goin’ on about the big shows, you know, the pay-per-view ones. So, I tried to figure it out, what’s comin’ up, when’s it all happenin’. This is what I found out about that WWE pay-per-view schedule.
Now, these big WWE shows, they ain’t just any old wrassle. They call ’em “premium live events” now. Fancy name, huh? They happen like once a month, all through the year. They got all the big names and the big fights and it’s a big to-do.
First big one is Royal Rumble. They got lots of guys in the ring, throwin’ each other out. The last one standin’, he’s the big winner. I don’t always get how it works, but it sure is a sight to see. My grandson, he says it’s one of the biggest events of the whole year. Royal Rumble is important to WWE. And he says that there are other four shows are also very big. He says they are called WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Money in the Bank and Survivor Series. Sounds like a lot of hoopla to me!
Then there’s WrestleMania. Oh boy, that’s the granddaddy of ’em all, they say. Biggest one of the whole year. Everyone’s watchin’ that one. They got all sorts of matches, and it goes on for a whole weekend, not just one night like the others. It’s like the Super Bowl of this WWE stuff. My grandkids make a big party of it, all their friends over, hootin’ and hollerin’. I think it happens in like March or April usually. I always get the dates mixed up though.
They got one called Elimination Chamber too. I think that’s where they put a bunch of ’em in a big cage, and they fight it out. Sounds kinda rough to me, but the kids love it. I heard them saying it was happening in Toronto, in Canada, I think in March.
And then there is SummerSlam, happens in the summer, naturally. That’s another big one. People get all excited. They wear their WWE shirts and everything. Sometimes they even have it outside, under the stars! That’s kinda nice, I guess. More room to yell and scream, I suppose.
Money in the Bank, that’s another one they talk about. Some fella gets a briefcase or somethin’, and he can use it to get a big match whenever he wants. I don’t know, seems like cheatin’ to me. But they like it. I think they did one of those in the middle of the year.
And don’t forget Survivor Series. I don’t know what happens at that one. But kids love it.
They got these shows all over the place, too. San Diego, that’s in California, I think. And Hartford, I heard them say. And who knows where else. All over the country, I reckon.
Here is a list about WWE events:
- Royal Rumble
- WrestleMania
- Elimination Chamber
- SummerSlam
- Money in the Bank
- Survivor Series
Now, if you wanna watch these things, it ain’t like the old days. You used to just turn on the TV, and there it was. Now, you gotta have some special thing. They got this WWE Network, but that ain’t all. There is some Peacock thing, too. Costs money, of course. Somethin’ like six dollars, I think I heard. And then there’s somethin’ called Shahid and Disney+. It’s all so complicated these days. Why can’t they just put it on the regular TV? It is too much for me.
My grandkids, they know all about it. They got it all figured out on their phones and their computers. Me, I just watch when they put it on. I don’t understand all that technical stuff. But I like seein’ them happy. And it is kinda fun to watch them big fellas jumpin’ around. Even if I don’t always know what’s goin’ on.
So, there you have it. That’s what I know about the WWE pay-per-view schedule. It’s a lot, ain’t it? I hope you can make sense of it better than I can. Just remember to ask your grandkids if you get confused. They’ll know. Or just watch and enjoy the show. That’s what I do. And don’t forget your snacks! You’ll need ’em for all that yellin’ and hollerin’. These WWE premium live events are always a good time, even if you don’t understand all the rules.
