Well, darn it. This Sea of Thieves game, it’s got me all riled up. I just wanna go on an adventure, you know? But it’s stuck. Signing on for adventure stuck is what it says. I ain’t no computer whiz, but I know when something ain’t right.
I clicked on “Start Game,” just like it says. Then it wants me to sign in to that Xbox Live thing. I did that, but it just keeps spinning and spinning. Like a chicken with its head cut off, it ain’t going nowhere. It’s supposed to be this big pirate adventure, but all I’m seeing is this “signing on” message. What in tarnation is going on?
My grandson, he’s good with these things. He told me to try a few things. Said something about settings. System and apps, he said. Then find this Sea of Thieves thingy. He said something about “Advanced options” and a “Reset” button. Reset what, I don’t know. It all sounds like a bunch of hooey to me. But I tried it. Still stuck. Just like a pig in the mud.
He also said something about my region. Said the game might not be in my country. Well, I ain’t never heard of such a thing. I’m right here where I always been. He told me to check the time and language settings on my computer. I did that, but it still just says signing on for adventure stuck.
- Go to System
- Find this Sea of Thieves
- Click “Reset”
I saw some other folks online, they got the same problem. One fella said he had to sign out of that Xbox thing and sign back in. Then try to join a session or make a new one. Sounds like a lot of work just to play a game. I just want to sail the seas and find some treasure, not fiddle with all these settings.
Another person, they said if it keeps happening, you gotta “raise a ticket.” I don’t know what a ticket is in this computer world. Sounds like going to a carnival. They said there’s a button with three lines somewhere. Near your picture, I reckon. I pushed so many buttons, I don’t know which one they’re talking about.
One person mentioned something about Steam. That’s another one of those things my grandson talks about. I guess this game, Sea of Thieves, it’s on there too. They said they tried linking and unlinking accounts. I don’t even know what that means. It’s all too much for me. It is not an easy thing to solve this signing on for adventure stuck issue. You know, I just want to play this game. Is that too much to ask?
I tried restarting my computer. That’s what you always do when things go wrong, right? Just like turning off the lights and turning them back on. Didn’t help this time. Still stuck. I click start and then it appears signing on for adventure stuck again. Shoot! I don’t know what to do. I hate this!
I even tried uninstalling the game and putting it back on. Took forever, I tell ya. But guess what? Still stuck on that same old message. It’s like the game is teasing me. Showing me a picture of a juicy apple pie, but not letting me take a bite.
I don’t know what else to do. I guess I’ll have to wait for my grandson to come over again. Maybe he can figure it out. He’s young, he understands these things. Me, I’m just an old lady who wants to play a pirate game. Is that too much to ask?
I just want to go on a pirate adventure. Find some gold, maybe fight some skeletons. But this game, it’s just making me frustrated. I hope someone figures out how to fix this signing on for adventure stuck problem soon. Otherwise, I might just have to take up knitting instead. And that would be a real shame, ’cause I was really looking forward to sailing the high seas.
This whole thing is a mess. Maybe that Xbox thing is broken. Or maybe the game is just no good. I don’t know. I wish I could just be playing the game. Instead, I’m sitting here, staring at this signing on for adventure stuck message. It’s a real pain, I tell ya. A real pain. And all I want is to play this Sea of Thieves game. It’s driving me nuts. This game is making me crazy. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I hope so. This is really not a fun experience for me. I just want to play!
