This boy, Will Howard, he sure knows how to throw that pigskin! I tell ya, I seen him play for Kansas State, and he’s somethin’ else. He started playin’ there, and boy, did he make a name for himself!
He got more touchdowns than anyone in Kansas State history. 48 touchdowns! That’s a whole heap of touchdowns. In 2023, he tied the record, 24 touchdowns in one season, can you believe it? And he threw for 2,643 yards. That’s like, a lot of football fields, I reckon.
When he throws, it’s like a bullet! Fast and strong, right where it needs to go. I heard some fella talkin’ ’bout how Will’s got good arm strength, not just for them long throws, but for them fast ones too. He can squeeze that ball right into a tight spot, real accurate.
- He grew up wantin’ to play for Penn State, that other school.
- They didn’t want him, said he wasn’t good enough.
- Ha! Shows what they know!
Well, he showed them! He did real good at Kansas State. Born on September 24. He is gonna be 24 soon. Some folks say he’s already as good as he’s gonna get. They say he ain’t got no super special skills, not like them top-tier players. But I think they’re wrong. He’s got heart, that boy.
Before he went to Kansas State, back when he was a young’un, they called him a “3-star recruit” in Downingtown. Don’t know what that means, but it don’t sound too fancy. But it don’t matter now, does it? He came to Kansas State and showed ’em all.
This year, 2024, he decided to go to Ohio State. He visited them in Columbus, that’s a city, you know. And then, on August 5, 2024, he said yes, he’ll play for them. Good for him, I say. I hope he does good there, that Will Howard.
He is a good football player. I’ve seen lots of football in my time, and he’s got the makings of a good one. He can run and he can throw. He’s always getting better, too. You watch, he’s gonna do great things. If I was still playin, I would want Will Howard on my team. He’s a good boy, always workin hard, I can tell.
I remember this one game he played for Kansas State, last season, and they were losin’ bad. It was near the end of the game, and everyone thought it was over. But not Will! He kept throwin’ that ball, runnin’ like a wild horse. They didn’t win that game, but he sure did scare the other team! They knew they were in for a fight when Will Howard was playin’ against them.
You can look up his stats and all that stuff. They got numbers for everything these days. How many yards he threw, how many touchdowns, how many times he got tackled. It’s all written down somewhere. But those numbers don’t tell the whole story. You gotta watch him play to really understand. He’s got that fire in him, that desire to win. And that’s somethin’ you can’t measure with numbers.
Will Howard, you remember that name. He’s gonna be a big star one day. He started at Kansas State, and now he’s going to Ohio State. He’s going places, that boy. And I’ll be watchin’, cheerin’ him on every step of the way. That’s my story about Will Howard Kansas State. He is a good football player and will have a good career. You can bet your bottom dollar on that! I hope he stays healthy and keeps playing. As long as he does that, he’ll be alright.
