Well, lemme tell ya somethin’ ’bout that Cy Woods baseball schedule. My grandson, he’s right into that baseball stuff, always has been. He keeps talkin’ ’bout this Cy Woods team, says they’re somethin’ else. So, I tried to figure out what all the fuss is about, you know?
That Cy Woods baseball, they got games all the time. Seems like every other day they’re out there playin’. February, March, May… all the months! They play against all sorts of teams. This one time, it was some team called Rockwall-Heath. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? They played that game down at Baylor, I hear. Big place, that Baylor.
They got different kinds of teams, too. This “Varsity” one, that’s the main one, I reckon. Then they got this “JV” one. And even a “Sophomore” team. Lord knows what that all means. They play on Tuesdays, they play on Fridays, all days of the week. It’s all confusing for an old lady like me.
- Varsity Baseball
- JV Baseball
- Sophomore Baseball
They keep track of all these games on some kinda Cy Woods baseball schedule. It lists the dates, who they’re playin’, and where they’re playin’. One time they played at some place called, uh, Woods-Spillane Boulevard. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But I bet it’s just a regular old baseball field, with dust and all.
And they got all these, whatchamacallits, “stats”. Player stats, team stats, like they’re countin’ every little thing. How many times they hit the ball, how many times they run around those bases. I don’t know what’s the use in countin all that. They should just play the game.
They even got pictures and videos. They put ’em up on the, uh, the internet. I seen some of them. Just a bunch of young fellas runnin’ around, throwin’ a ball. Looks like hard work, I’ll give ’em that. My old bones couldn’t do all that runnin’ no more. They should enjoy it while they’re young.
This whole Cy Woods baseball schedule thing, it’s a lot to take in, I tell ya. All these games, all these teams. They play at home, they play away. I seen on this paper, it says “Home” and “Game Schedule”. So they got games at their home place, I guess.
This one time, in March, they played at some place called Cy Ranch. They say it was the last bit of “Wildcat baseball” for Spring Break. I don’t know what a Wildcat is doin’ playin’ baseball, but that’s what they said.
There’s a lot of folks talkin’ ’bout this Cy Woods baseball. You can find their names and their pictures and all that on some special list. They call it a “roster”. Like a list of chickens in a coop, I suppose. And they even rank ’em, like they’re prizewinning hogs or somethin’.
They even got what they call “posts”, on the internet. I don’t know why they need to post anythin’. It’s all confusing to an old lady like me.
So, that Cy Woods baseball schedule, it’s a busy one. They’re always playin’, always travelin’. They play in February, they play in May, they play all over. It’s a lot to keep up with, I tell ya.
That one paper said to check some place called * and *. Said you could see the Cy Woods baseball schedule there. I don’t know what those things are, but the young folks seem to know all about it. They use that internet for everything these days.
- February games
- March games
- May games
Well, that’s all I know about that Cy Woods baseball schedule. It’s a lot of hootin’ and hollerin’ for a game, if you ask me. But the young folks, they sure do love it. And my grandson, he’s right in the middle of it all. So, I try to keep up, you know? For him. They are always playing, like every week. That’s a lot of games.
They play against a lot of different teams with funny names. Like that Rockwall-Heath. I wonder where they get those names. It’s different and I don’t know. Young people know all of these things. I don’t know how they keep up with it all.
That Cy Woods baseball schedule is a long one. They play so many games. Every week there’s a game. It’s a lot. And they keep all those stats. I don’t know why, but they do. They count everything. That’s how they are doing baseball now. I guess.
I guess the young folks like all that counting and those stats. They like those pictures and videos, too. It’s all part of the game these days. It’s different now. But as long as they’re having fun, that’s all that matters, right?
